A UGC brief template for a budgeting app

A brief is one or two sentences. Start from an example below, change the words, and post it. Creators who make apps and software videos send you a price.

There is nothing to ship. After you pick, you give the creator access by email, with an account, a code, or a test version.

Three briefs to start from

  • 3 TikTok ads for a budgeting app, $200 each. Hook in the first 3 seconds. Paid ads for 30 days.

    Use this brief

  • 2 Instagram Reels that show a budgeting app in daily use. Organic posts only.

    Use this brief

  • One creator for monthly videos about a budgeting app. 4 videos a month, for TikTok and Instagram.

    Use this brief

What to ask for, for a mobile app

Ask for a screen recording of one task from start to finish, with the creator's voice over it. One task shown well is better than a tour of every screen.

How a creator gets your product

What does a video about an app cost?
The creator names the price, so it differs. On Hoodiechamp you see several prices for the same brief before you choose. We publish real price ranges when enough jobs are finished.
There is nothing to ship. How does the creator get my app?
You give access by email after you pick: an account, a code, or a test version. Say in the brief if the app costs money, so the creator knows you will give it free. Hoodiechamp does not move products, files, or money.
Can the creator record the screen?
Yes, and most app videos need it. Give the creator a test account with example data. Ask that no real customer name, email, or payment shows on screen.
Can the creator say what results my app gives?
Write the rule in the brief. Claims about money, health, or results have legal limits in most countries, and your business answers for its ads. Ask the creator to say what they did with the app, not what it will do for everyone.
